1988 Hermès Scarf Halte en Camargue – The Waterfowl Species
The Camargue regional park was established in 1972. It is located in Arles and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in France and is the largest wetland in France. Camargue encompasses 84,800 hectares of alluvial land, marshland with many large lagoons. The Camargue is a paradise for more than 400 species of birds, also the home of castles, horses, small animals, insects, and vegetation……

Halte en Camargue was designed by Robert Dallet for the Hermès Autumn/Winter 1988/1989 collection. At the centre of the scarf, two Greater Flamingos stand in the shallow water surrounded by the Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Wigeon, Pintail Duck, Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Garganey, Mallard, Eurasian Teal, Pochard, Spoonbill, Purple Heron, Kingfisher, and the other kinds of waterfowl in the marshes and reeds of wetland.
In my research of the waterfowl species in Halte en Camargue, there are a total of 17 different types of waterfowl in Halte en Camargue the result.
